Kimberly Stone has shot weddings at venues all over the Pee Dee. When it was her turn, she picked The Cabin at Old Spur.

That choice tells you something a testimonial cannot. She has seen how venues run, from the inside, on the busiest day they host. She picked this one for her own wedding. Then she came back to photograph others here.

Who She Is

Kimberly Pait Stone is a Hartsville native. She is a wife and a mother of two girls. She started out running a photo booth business with her husband, and that work grew into a love for being behind the lens. Today she runs Kimberly Stone Photography. She shoots weddings, engagements, maternity, newborns, headshots, and events across the Pee Dee.

Her Own Wedding at The Cabin

She says that before the wedding, she was overwhelmed. She had a full picture of what she wanted the day to be. When the day came, it was out of her hands. She had to trust the people she had brought in to get it right. That included Debbie and Shannon, who helped with her wedding day. They decorated, ran for last minute things, and kept everything moving. That is when she stopped worrying.

Her bridesmaids noticed. They asked why she was so calm, when she had been so anxious about it all beforehand. She told them she could see that everything was handled and all was well.

She still describes the comfort she felt here that day in one word. Phenomenal.

Why She Loves The Cabin

She points to the atmosphere first. She calls it quiet and homelike, a place that puts the wedding party, the guests, and the vendors at ease.

That ease shapes how she works. She keeps a wedding day steady and unhurried, so the couple can stay in the day instead of managing it.

A Wedding She Photographed Here

One wedding at The Cabin at Old Spur stays with her more than the rest.

What stayed with her was not a pose or a detail. It was the mother of the bride. Kimberly says the joy coming off her that day was something she could almost feel herself. The mother welcomed every vendor and made sure each one had what they needed. She made the vendors feel like family. Kimberly says she will always be grateful for that day.

Jenny, the Vintage Camper

Kimberly offers one thing no other photographer on this list can. A photo booth built inside a 1969 Shasta camper.

The camper belonged to her grandmother. For years it sat in the same spot in the yard and held Christmas decorations and spare household things. After her grandmother passed, Kimberly and her husband decided to bring it back to life. He spent a year and a half of weekends and evenings rebuilding it. They named the camper Jenny, after her grandmother.

Now Jenny parks at receptions. Guests climb in, take photos, and walk away with prints made on site. Kimberly says watching wedding parties light up at the sight of it is what she loves most. They do not know the camper carries her grandmother’s name.

She does.
