When you get married at The Cabin at Old Spur, your celebration unfolds across 70 acres of pond, woodland, and cabin. A day like that deserves a photographer who can keep up with all of it, and who already knows the light, the angles, and the quiet corners of this property. We work with several talented photographers across the Pee Dee region, and MuddyWater Photography & Videography is one we’re glad to have on our preferred vendor list.

Who they are
MuddyWater Photography & Videography, LLC was founded in 2022 by Elizabeth Quick, who turned a personal passion into a full creative studio. What started as a solo venture has grown into a small team offering photography, videography, content creation, and wedding planning — meaning a couple can cover several pieces of their day under one roof.
Elizabeth describes her work as storytelling first: capturing the raw, authentic, in-between moments rather than only the posed ones. The studio leans into a warm, signature golden aesthetic that suits the natural, woodsy setting here at The Cabin.
Why she loves shooting at The Cabin
We asked Elizabeth what it’s like to photograph here, in her own words:
“Shooting at The Cabin is a dream because it perfectly captures that moody, rustic, and cinematic vibe I’m obsessed with. I love how the natural light filters through the trees during golden hour — it creates such an authentic, warm atmosphere that you just can’t replicate anywhere else. It’s the ideal backdrop for couples who want their photos to feel raw and real rather than ‘perfected.'”
That instinct for natural light and real moments is exactly why she’s a fit for a wedding here. A celebration at The Cabin runs from the getting ready morning through the ceremony by the pond to the last dance, and having a photo and video team that knows the property, and can document the whole day, is a real advantage.

A wedding she shot at The Cabin
One of Elizabeth’s favorite days here was the Batts’ wedding. In her words:
“I remember it so clearly — the energy was incredible, and the way the rustic surroundings complemented the entire vibe made for such a stunning, timeless look.”
