We met Rebekah Osman at the South Carolina Bridal Showcase at the Florence Center in 2018, and Icing Ink Bakery has been one of our preferred vendors since. She was bringing cakes out here when we were still new, and she has seen nearly every change we have made to the property.

One of my favorite parts of working with The Cabin is that I’ve had the opportunity to be one of their earliest vendors and watch the venue grow and evolve over time. Even though I’m often there for a quick cake delivery, it’s been really special to see how much the venue has changed and how many beautiful memories have been made there.

A from-scratch bakery

Rebekah grew up with nine siblings, which put a birthday on the calendar almost every month, and her mother made whatever cake each child asked for while still putting dessert on the table after supper. Icing Ink bakes everything from scratch because that is how Rebekah learned it.

I had 9 siblings, and there was a birthday almost every month of the year. It was always amazing watching my mom create the birthday cakes of our choice. Not only would she do our birthday cakes, but she made sure that we had dessert with every dinner. That is where I learned the love of baking. Every time I am baking or decorating, I always remember my mom and how awesome she was. She was my inspiration of why I opened the bakery.

Cakes she has brought to weddings here

Rebekah does not work from a catalog, and these four cakes all came out of her kitchen for weddings in this building. She works in fresh flowers, and gets them from Leslie Carpenter at A&B Florist, which is next door in the same building as the bakery.

I love creating cakes that are beautiful, personal, and memorable rather than making every cake look the same. Whether a couple wants something simple and elegant, rustic and romantic, or completely unique, I enjoy taking their ideas and turning them into something they can actually see and enjoy on their wedding day.

I’ve really enjoyed seeing how the cake becomes part of the celebration, not just something beautiful to look at, but something everyone gathers around and gets excited about.

More than tiered cakes

Icing Ink also builds cupcake towers, and the cupcakes get the same decorating work as the cakes. Rebekah does bars, cookies, and pastries as well, and the storefront is open to anyone who just wants dessert.

Working with Icing Ink

The shop is at 3360 West Palmetto Street in Florence, about twenty minutes from us, so couples can taste the cake before they order it. Tastings are by appointment. Delivery and setup at the venue are billed separately from the cake itself. Rebekah asks for at least one to two months to hold a date.

I think Icing Ink Bakery is a great fit for couples getting married at The Cabin because we are a from-scratch bakery and we really believe that every cake should be as unique as the couple receiving it.
